Random velocities 127 at note off on midi out

Hi there, first post.
I’m very happy with my home built HX3.5 organ. I jumpered the 2nd midi connector as midi out to play the E-piano sounds on my Yamaha Reface CP. I’d love not to have to take two large keyboards to a rehearsal...
I experience random notes with max velocities 127 when releasing a note:
-happens every now and then, not often but too often to be playable with an audience.
-not bound to specific notes.
-not reproducible. But happens only when playing chords it seems.
-the very loud and very shot note is NOT the note I’m releasing.
-it doesn’t ever happen when playing organ normally. (Of course velocity there has only an impact on key click right?)

Any one any clues? I don’t think it’s the Fatar keybed because it’s not bound to certain notes.
Thanks!

Hello Joost,

spurious "fast" notes should have been fixed with Scan Driver #5x.30, contained in #5.627 update package (see changelog on http://keyboardpartner.remotewebaccess. ... 20Firmware). You may update the scan driver separately with HX3.5 Editor.

I just experienced the same issue again.
After updating the system it sometimes produces NoteOn with velocity 127 in the 3rd octave of the lower manual.
Scan core is 51.33

Best regards,
Harald

If random high velocity notes are present on one manual only, there must be a problem with key contacts. The scan driver handles both keyboards in the very same way.

You may try to swap upper and lower 16-pin kbd connectors on FatarScan2 board to verify.
