Yes, my idea is to realize a real organ, without the use of MIDI between keybeds and HX3 board in the drawbar-expander to reduce latency.

When buildt in a FATAR SCAN board You realize a real organ.
Things I mean was to buildt up like a expander with all needed features but without any key
The input from a midi key will then run via MIDI same as at normal expander

Any way the HX3 mainboard must be programmed with the correct software .
So it´s best to tell what You want to realize when ordering Your basket

Therefore to build a double-manual clone starting from the "Drawbar-Expander", and to avoid MIDI connections, I could plug a "fatarscan2" inside the HX3-mk4 board of the expander, using two Fatar 61TP/80 as upper/lower keybed, right?

Right , the dial knob is besides Display and You can turn it and push it too (details in user manual )

Only normal buttons like Perc , Vib etc are realized.
In normal use of this panel in organs the four buttons for VIB / CHORUS are used for those general presets.
In drawbar expander is a other software used to realize the function of the rotary VIB/CHORUS by 4 buttons

Prinzipially it will be possible to change that if a real rotary switch is used.
To realize real inverted Hammond keys for preset You must buildt up Your own expander in special way.
Such thing is possible - no question - and Your task to realize it ( mechanically )
The result will be a organ model without keys. Negative preset key also can be realized as buttons.
The software configuration of those organ expander will be :
normal organ but MIDI IN for the keys

Anyway, for the Drawbar-Expander is the dial knob near the display to choose presets, right?
I wonder if it's possible to add the "Preset16" board to the Drawbar-Expander module in order to recall presets in an easier and faster way, such as Hammond inverted keys.

The MIDI Routing for normal HX 3 Expander is "one way " :
MIDI KEY --> Drawbar Controller -- > HX 3 Expander
The Presets are chosen direct at HX 3 Expander ( not at Drawbarcontroller )
If any drawbar from Drawbarcontroller is driven, the value for this drawbar in HX 3 Expander is overwritten ( but not stored ! )
So any recall of that preset will give the old values

MIDI Routing for Drawbar-Expander is same " one way "
MIDI KEY -- > Drawbar Expander
For the Presets ( 4 general Presets ) there is a separate button to chose the wanted preset
If no Preset is chosen the drawbars are in " LIVE " Mode

If any preset is chosen a changed value at drawbars will also overwrite the stored value from preset ( but also not stored in preset ! )
A recall of preset will be same as at Drawbarcontroller with HX 3 Expander and will give the old values.

Hi to everybody,
this is my first topic in this useful forum.
My question is especially referred to HX3 expander owners.
I'd like to buy the bundle "HX3 expander + drawbar controller" but I don't understand in the owner manual if the controller can manage the 15+15 drawbar presets of the expander. Same thing for the "HX3 drawbar expander" equipped with upper+lower+pedal set of drawbars.
