Preset buttons not in order!

Beitrag von Fernando Vilaboy »

Hi!!
I'm finishing to instal a HX3.5 in an old Hammond CV keybed and A100 drawbars... finally with patient and reading this forum and thanks to happyfreddy and TatooHanes everything works...except the preset keys, that works but they are not in the right place: the upper B is in my D# (button 0 in 0 extern 60$), upper A# is in D button1, my C# is in the button 2 and then my B is in the button 8, A# in the 9, A in 10, going down till the E in the 15... and exactly the same with the lower but in the 1 extern 61$. I'm using a Preset 12-2 platinen connected to the PL 21...
My question is... there's a way to relocate or re asign the buttons on the Editor? I'm completely sure that the cable to the platinen Pin1 is key B and down.
Any help welcome...
Thanks!!!

Hi
I think there is a cable turned with 180°
In HX 3 all flat cables are 1:1 ones.
control Your flat cable and if not correct just turn the plug at one side.
The " nose " of any flat cable must show always in one direction and all
plug show to same side when looking from the side to flat cable.

When using origninal parts from a Hammond just spend a separate plug in the near
of the switches and connect wires from this to each switch.
When doing this it´s easier to connect to HX 3 board etc because always
flat cables with plugs at both ends instead one plug and separate single wires
at switches

That was one of the options, I check them but “nein”… all was looking be fine, that’s the reason I was asking for the editor.
The weirdo thing is, now I changed the cables of the A# and B for D and D#… and works!!! But I can still change the drawbars in the D and D# in both
I guess I did something wrong in the editor or with the presets!!
Any idea?

I think You had to control all the stuff of wiring about the presets.
There must be some mistake when wiring

Normally the HX 3 uses push buttons , but You can switch them to real
switches in Editor
The original Preset keys in a real Hammond are swiches mechanically
connected so only one is active , except the lowest C.
This key only disconnects the locking of the other keys.
So this lower C doesn´t close any contact and has no arretation to keep
down when pressed like the other keys.

In HX 3 normally this preset Key "C " is used to switch the manual keys
in only MIDI OUT function.

So when using the Hammond Presets with the HX3 ( switch mode)
You only can realize Presets from C# to H in each manual

The Preset switches of HX 3 only close a contact against GND.
When pressed a new preset key the old is disconnected.
So the HX Preset Keys don´t have a adding function like in HAMMOND
organ
If You use original Hammond Preset Keys first You hav to remove all that
wiring of presets. Then You must find out there the common connection for
all keys to realize the GND pin = it´s like a busbar
