HX3 with nord c2d?

Seems that the KeyB and the Hamichord/Mojo do also send same CCs on both Manuals
but different Channels.
I know for sure that it works with the Mojo !

Did you try to create a Custom set on your own ?
Did it work with an older firmware 3.72 ?

Yes I have tried to make my own custom CC set but cannot see how I can duplicate the same CC via different midi channels. I already have a Midi Solutions Event Processor Plus so I plan to use this to remap the CC's coming from the lower manual midichannel to the upper channel. Have used this processor many times for similar applications and it is handy little box but it involves more equipment, cabling and possible points of failure so the best would be if the HX3 could handle this by it self.

I just received the Expander 2 weeks ago so I have not tried it With another firmware than the one which is originally installed from Keyboarpartner.

I have seen the document you refer to and will use this when I do the mapping. During the weekend I will try to make a combination of midimapping and custom CC set to make the C2 and HX3 work well. Will report back on how this works out.

Oh shit, I found this in the WIKI:

Note: The MIDI Custom CC translation routine in HX3 firmware works for standard MIDI continuous controllers on upper manual channel only.

Seems to be a limitation by the HX3....nothing wrong with your C2.

Valpurgis - I tried sending you a PM a few days ago and just saw your other post on the Stage 2 / HX3 thread. I can't help but think there has to be an easier solution to what you're experiencing with your Nord C2D and HX3 Expander.

I'd be happy to take a look at your custom cc set if you want to send it over to me. I own a Stage 2, not a C2D, but I have made custom cc sets for my HX3 for my Nord Stage 2, Mojo, DMC-122 controller and have navigated some strange quirks with the midi CC mapping on these keyboards and HX3 defaults settings.

For example, I'm looking at the HX3 Remote Nord C2 CC set in the remote software and I see that Upper drawbars (Midi CC 16-24) (HX3 corresponding numbers 401-409) are mapped correctly, but I don't see the lower drawbars (HX3 corresponding numbers 416-424) mapped anywhere in the C2 CC set. It seems to me that just mapping CC #36-44 (B1-B9 drawbars on the C2D) to HX3 numbers 416-424 should get those lower drawbars working in real time without the need for a Midi Solutions box.

Also with the C/V upper / lower issue: I see that Midi CC 85 is set for HX3 904 which is "Vibrato on Upper", but I don't see any mapping for HX3 #905, which is "Vibrato On Lower". You may need to map another button on the C2D specifically to turn the Vibrato lower On and Off. I had this same problem with the Mojo and eventually opted to remap an unused knob to turn the that function on and off.

So far I have been able to find a workaround to any midi cc issues I've encountered (outside of the midi limitations of the master keyboards).

In regard to the Stage 2, I haven't yet been able to use the Nord Stage 2 drawbars to control the HX3 drawbars in External or Slot A/B mode - I've only found the live drawbars and the other real time functions work only in Global midi mode. HX3 presets work fine in External mode.

After seeing your other post in the Stage 2 thread, I will set up my DB1 and Stage 2 tonight and see what I can figure out.
