.....Tone trim Pot.... bei Version 3.83 mk3 - bewegt sich nur zwischen 95 und 100 - gespeichert wird immer der Wert 100. Auch mit der remote Software vorgenommene Änderungen werden an meinem Expander nur mit dem Wert 100 gespeichert. Bug? :o

Hi all,
I have Expander mk3 updated to 3.83c (latest FPGA, Firmware, ScanCore).
Now there are obvious crackle in some cases, seems to be a sort of internal "overload" or processing overflow.

Best replicated on louder/extreme settings, i.e.:
TG "Recapped" / All drawbars out / Press several notes in highest octave simultaneously.

I can face it even on 888/Recapped while holding 5 highest white keys.
'72 caps requires a bit more notes or active drawbars.

Double-checked with:
- different commutation schemes;
- direct, plain organ signal (no internal Leslie model or pedals);
- default settings (except TG caps).

Have anybody faced the same issue or could reproduce it?

Yes, known issue. I thought it is fixed in the actual version???

If you are not afraid in using the tapering tool and remote software you can fix it.
Reduce the Tonewheel 77 (5/14 drawbar) in the tapering tool on all 4 sets (you can check it by ear on the highest A).
Put the gain to 0.9 or less in the tapering tool.

In the remote reduce the parameter 609 (leslie input level) down till the clipping dissapears
(should be somewhere between 135 to 110).

Maybe Carsten can chime in here ?!

With my new FTDI board sent very quickly by Carsten I now have the latest update successfully installed. The chorus/vibrato seems to be improved - is this connected with the tapering changes?

I had a problem with this latest try at the update using Windows 10, and the HX3 became corrupted. I thought using AV_Repair would quickly fix this but I couldn't get it to work properly with Windows 10. Going back to WindowsXP solved the problem with AV_Repair, and after I installed the latest #383 update everything worked fine from Windows 10. Maybe the AV_repair tool now needs updating?

It all sounds excellent - I'm running out of things to ask for :-)
